Self-reblogging made simple

Tumblr users: ever feel like reblogging yourself?

TJ posted excellent instructions (and a video!) explaining how to do this manually, but it’s kind of a painful procedure. So I made you a thing, because I love you. A bookmarklet, to be precise.

To install it, just drag the “Reblog” link below to your browser’s link bar. (Dashboard and RSS readers, please click through first.)

Name the bookmarklet whatever you like. Then, just go to the permalink page of any post (yours or someone else’s; doesn’t matter) and click the bookmarklet. It should take you directly to where you’d be if you’d clicked Tumblr’s Reblog button—which, if it was your own post, didn’t exist.

Tested in Safari, Mobile Safari, Firefox, Chrome, and (gasp) Internet Explorer 8, though you can’t install it by dragging in that browser. (Sorry, 5.24% of you.)
