Oh Wikipedia, it’s so cute when your “notability standard” revert-wars and keep/delete flamefests leak out and get all over your encyclopædic style.

Case in point, above: that single word “apparently,” from the entry on Goodfellas, is just dripping with poorly concealed derision for the List of films that most frequently use the word “fuck” article, which is itself so contentious that it has had its own proposed deletion policy.

Clearly, there should be a tag for this sort of thing:

This article is written in a style which apparently some people find a little too passive-aggressive. If you’re not too busy doing other things, maybe you could help improve it by taking some time out of your precious day? Or whatever. It’s not like anyone cares what I think.
